What is the difference between a psychic and a medium?

You may have heard the phrase all mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums......

Firstly, every person has a psychic sense call it extra-sensory, knowing who’s there when the phone rings, getting a bad ‘vibe’ off a person, we all have the ability to tune in to ourselves or into another’s energy field. The most natural example is of course, crystal ball a mother’s intuition! Being able to sense when a loved one is in danger or not being able to tell your mum a lie because she can ‘tell’ if you’re spoofing!!! Everyone openly accepts this version of being intuitive but try and tell someone you can develop these abilities further and you’re likely to get a whoooah Reaction! Being psychic is having the ability to read or tune in to a person’s energy field and give them information pertaining to their life, past present and future. This is where the fortune telling label can get slapped on and where some confusion lies. A psychic can use tools such as cards, runes, tea-leaves, crystals and the good old fashioned crystal ball to predict patterns or trends in a client’s life. A psychic will give you guidance on YOUR life because it’s YOUR energy field they are tuning into. A psychic does not have the ability to tune into spirit or loved ones that have died, i.e. a psychic reading consists of information pertaining to you and your life.

A medium, is exactly as the name suggests, is a bridge between the living and the dead. Most mediums prefer to use the term crossed over or passed on, because our souls never truly die. A medium is psychic, so some mediums can offer psychic readings as well as mediumship. This is where the confusion comes in as the term psychic mediumship does not mean spiritual mediumship. A Psychic medium as mentioned reads the clients energy whereas the spiritual medium connects with spirit, in everyday life we tend to drop titles and the psychic medium gets called ‘a psychic’ and the spiritualist medium gets called ‘a medium’.

I always recommend you check with the reader, firstly deciding do you want a reading with regard to a situation in your life or do you want to connect with a loved one that has passed on. Some mediums can do both in a reading, but you need to check.

Now to adding to this further is the titles, Clairvoyant, clairsentinant and clairaudience. This leads me to the next frequently asked question:

What’s the difference between a Clairvoyant and a medium?

A Clairvoyant is a medium. The term clairvoyant means clear-seeing. The medium has the ability to see spirit. Either seeing the image in their mind or as a full form apparition. The latter is very rare.

If there has been sometime between the death of a loved one, they may appear dressed in the clothing of that era, so the medium can give a valid description of their physicality and appearance. Some spirits if they’ve passed through a dehabilatating illness like to show their loved ones that their back to themselves again and most importantly are happy and very much at peace.

Clairsentanance means clear-feeling. The medium has the ability to sense how a loved one died as they can feel what part of the body was affected, they can also be give certain significant smells, such as if a loved one’s father was a pipe smoker and the medium could smell tobacco, this would be meaningful to the client as they would identify the smell of tobacco with their dad and would be further proof of the validity of the sitting. It also alludes to the ability to get a sense of the loved ones character, if for example the clients father had an extraverted personality the reader would pick up on this and relay this onto the loved one.

Clairaudience means clear-hearing. The medium can hear messages from the person in spirit to the loved one. Again every medium has a different style, some actually hear voices externally as if another person was speaking in the room, whereas the most recognised form of clairaudience is hearing the voices inside your head, internally. Now before you begin to go aaaaah hearing voices.....right....! I hasten to add the medium can readily identify spirit from their own internal dialogue. The only example I can give you is from my own personal experience. Spirit has no accent and the information has no meaning to me and as I utter the words that flow into my head my clients facial expression is enough to trust in my guides and their loved ones that the information is valid."

What is Amethyst and what are the benefits of having it?

amethyst gemstoneThis beautiful purple crystal is one of the quartz family. The stone for pisces and aquarious. It is said to cure insomnia, eleviate bad dreams and ease a headache.
It was used in ancient times to help with addiction and the colour is denoted to be that of royalty. Purple is also the colour of the third eye chakra, the stone is said to help open the third eye, increasing your psychic abilities and intuition. The properties of Amethyst are amplified further when set in silver or gold and worn as jewellery.
Have your crystal near your body for its effects to take place. Cleanse your crystal in moonlight or by placing it in a dish with a piece of hematite. Hematite releases negative ions as does the moon, which charges and cleanses your amethyst of any other of your crystals.

What are Chakras and how do they work?

Chakras are points of energy in the body. The word Chakra means spinning wheel. If you could see chakras (as many healers can do) you would be able to see each primary chakra as a spinning vortex or wheel of energy; spinning inward from the front of your body towards the centre point of that chakra on the kunilini and then spinning outward from that same point from your back. The chakras start at the base of the spine and go up through the head on the kunilini which is located almost on your spinal column. There are seven main chakra points of colours from the bottom up; red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, dark blue and indigo. Each main chakra point has smaller points called meridians. There are about a hundred of these and they are used to attune the Chi flow during the practice of acupuncture. The main chakra points differ from the primary ones as they deal mainly with emotion and spirituality whilst the others deal with action and physicality. An unbalanced chakra can directly affect your health. This unbalance is caused by emotional or spiritual disruption and can in turn manifest itself into a physical illness.

Each chakra point relates directly to a certain point in the body.

    The Crown Chakra - Indigo

The Third Eye Chakra - Dark Blue

    The Throat Chakra - Turquoise

    The Heart Chakra - Green

The Solar Plexus Chakra - Yellow

    The Sacral Chakra - Orange

    The Base Chakra - Red

Vibrations of Chakras

Each chakra has a different frequency of vibration, symbol, colour, and sound that it is attuned to. When the chakra is balanced, clear, and energized it would be in tune and play the most wonderful sound of its own, emitting the proper vibration for that chakra. Many things can effect the vibrations including sounds of voice, drums, music, chants, mantras,  the vibrational energy of colours, and of course gemstones. All colours and sounds are vibrations and using the sounds and colours of the chakras assist them in becoming aligned and balanced. The colours of the chakras are that of the rainbow; starting at the root chakra black/red, orange, yellow, green/pink, light blue, indigo, and violet/white for the seventh chakra; as shown in the picture above.

Each chakra needs to be able to function at the correct frequency independently. Each needs to be balanced, clear, energized, and properly spinning. Each time all the chakras reach a level of unison the entire physical vibration of the human body is raised.

Think of a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest and best. Next, think of each chakra needing to be at the same number on that scale. Once each individual chakra is at the same number your entire physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body raises into its own new vibrational level to match that of the chakras. The more chakra energy work you do the higher your whole body will be raised on this scale with ten being enlightenment while still in this physical human form.

Healing of Geopathic Stress

Healing of Geopathic Stress

By Shaman and Spiritual Healer Paul O’Halloran

www.pathwayteaching.com

At this time on earth many people, places and land are in need of healing. Spirit called me to follow this path, where it started with a near death experience when I was abroad in the army. In my heart I knew that I should have died and come back in a box. But sometimes spirit has other plans for us. Gradually my life purpose unfolded, where I’ve been doing healing work of land, people and houses for many years now. My teacher, a South African Sangoma Peter von Maltitz, says the most important thing in doing the work is humility and he is absolutely right. Another teacher, David Furlong, taught me techniques to help me on my journey to heal land and houses. I was also taught shamanism by Martin Duffy; the first time I heard the drum I knew I was home. I am very grateful to have had such wonderful teachers.

There are many different forms of unbalanced energies on the planet. One of these is geopathic stress which can form lines or vortices. There are different ways of healing these energy imbalances, from the more conventional methods to the shamanic ceremony, which is how I work. This is basically connecting to four directions, Mother Earth and Father Sky.

Geopathic stress is the distortion of geo-electromagnetic energies in the earth’s field from underground water courses, mineral deposits; faults and underground cavities.  These distorted or negative energies may radiate through your house or work place affecting the health of the occupants in different ways. The problem arises when people spend long periods of time working or sleeping in these lines or zones of ‘geopathic stress’ (GS).

Symptoms of geopathic stress

While geopathic stress does not cause illnesses directly, it weakens the immune system which in turn may weaken the body making it slower to heal and more susceptible to illnesses such as cancer.

Sleeping in a geopathic zone is particularly stressful. If you sleep on a spiral, where two Leylines of negative energy cross, for example two underground rivers, not alone may it affect your sleep patterns by causing broken or restless sleep or nightmares, you can wake up in the morning feeling more tired than when you went to bed.  This is because the adrenal gland works overtime to compensate for the distorted earth radiation. The brain also cannot relax into a deep sleep to repair and regenerate the body due to the high content of adrenalin in the blood. Over time, the fact that you sleep in this energy overnight, can lead to energy imbalance or long term illness.

Any of the following can result from exposure to geopathic stress:

  • Behavioural problems e.g. aggression, hyperactivity
  • Emotional instability
  • Sleeping disorders and restlessness
  • Cancer, M.E. and M.S.
  • Aches and pains e.g. headaches
  • Back problems
  • Infertility and cot deaths
  • Asthma and allergies
  • Depression
  • Stress and nervousness
  • Lack of concentration or memory loss
  • Nausea
  • Disorientation
  • Exhaustion, fatigue or loss of strength
  • Absenteeism at work due to sickness
  • Not responding to medical treatment

Evidence connecting geopathic stress to illness

Some of the evidence from doctors and scientists connecting GS to illnesses is as follows:

  • Research has shown that over 85% of people who die from cancer have been regularly exposed to geopathic stress . Dr. E. Hartman MD claimed after treating thousands of cancer patients for over 30 years that cancer is a disease of location where people have been exposed to GS over a period of time.
  • Similarly, Dr. Hans Nieper, a world renowned cancer and MS specialist, found that 92% of all his cancer patients and 75% of his MS patients were geopathically stressed.
  • Dr. Gustav Freiherr Von Pohl proved to the Central Committee for Cancer Research in Berlin, almost 60 years ago, that people were unlikely to get cancer unless they spent some time in geopathically stressed places, mainly when sleeping. He also reckoned that gout was the only ailment not caused or exacerbated by geopathic stress.
  • Hartmann grids, grids of geopathic stress, were discovered in the 1950s by a German medical doctor, Dr. Ernst Hartmann. He proved that the worst place to sleep or work in is a Hartmann knot, where two Hartmann lines cross over each other causing a vortex of harmful energies which intensifies the negative energies of the place. Hartmann lines are at least 20 ft wide, the widest of the geopathic stress lines.

On the Pathway teaching Advanced Shamanic course you can learn how to heal unbalanced energies in land and houses. This course is only open to those who have completed the shamanic practitioners medicine wheel, a 7 weekend course to shed the skin and heal ourselves, enabling us to connect deeper to the guides, and spirit helpers around us as well as to Mother Earth.

Physical indicators of geopathic stress

Animals that gravitate to lines or zones of GS include: cats, owls, slugs, snails, insects such as ants, bacteria, viruses, wasps and bees. Most mammals avoid areas of geopathic stress. Horses and cows stabled over GS may become sick or prone to injuries. In Ireland in days of old, people used to put cattle into fields to see where they would sleep knowing that they would not sleep in areas of negative energy. This is then where the buildings were placed, in the good old days before planning permission!
Areas of non-productive fruit trees, gaps in hedges, twisted growth, patches in lawns and trees where lightening has struck can indicate areas of GS.

Animals and very young children can feel instinctively if a place is healthy or not i.e. if there are lines or zones of geopathic stress within it. If children are oriented differently from when they were tucked in, or don’t want to sleep in their beds it is wise to check for lines of GS.

Can the level of geopathic stress be measured?

Through the art of dowsing, Dr. Gustav Freiherr von Pohl, the ‘Grand Old Man’ of GS, developed a scale to analyse the strengths and effects of the contaminated leylines.

The scale runs from 1 to 16 with the following effects:

  • Up to 4: No effect.
  • 5 – 6: Obesity, swelling of joints, headaches, sleeping problems, anxiety.
  • 7 – 8: Mental disorders, addictions, suicides, depression.
  • 9 plus: Cancer, leukaemia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and many other disorders.

In both Germany and Austria it is law to have your house checked for geopathic stress before you move in.

What happens when houses are cleared of these negative energies?

When a house or property, is having ongoing problems, the chances are it is affected by geopathic stress. It could also mean that something has happened in the past and the memory is still lingering on. Past traumas can become locked in buildings or grounds or be held in people. Perhaps water below the surface of the place is contaminated, holds memory, or past lives need cleared and energy flow is stagnant.  Finding the cause and healing it can lead to a wonderfully healthy and happy environment for all.

The experienced geopathic therapist tunes into the energy fields that cause the problems removing and rebalancing them to a healthy, balanced state for all concerned.

Imprints on land: what are they?

Land, like everything has memory; it can be happy or sad. Did you ever feel uncomfortable in a place? Felt threatened and could not wait to get away? What you are feeling could be an imprint or a memory from the past. It may be from a battle, a famine, from hunger, death, sacrifice, murder, anger or even a curse. Living in or around these types of energies is not good for your wellbeing, it drains your energy making you tired, run down or ill.

Commercial properties or houses that are on the market for long periods of time and don’t appear to be selling may have imprints or negative energies holding them back. This could also be because of trapped spirits attached to the place through an event that has happened in the past.  Through the shamanic ceremony these unbalanced and trapped energies, including any earth bound spirits are released.

Businesses that are unsuccessful or work places that have low morale and high levels of staff off sick may also be also be affected by geopathic stress and unbalanced or trapped energies.  Again these imprints and energies can be released and healed.

What is Bio Energy Therapy?

Bio energy therapy is a holistic non-invasive therapy which works to create emotional, mental and physical harmony for clients.Bio energy therapy does not contravene any personal beliefs; it is not based on any religion but on the existence of energies within and outside the body which have been proven to exist. From an energy perspective all life forms, including human beings, are made up of layers of vibrating energy, each with their own specific vibration. The physical body consists of energy that vibrates very slowly, which is why it appears to our physical eyes to be solid. When we speak about energy that is vibrating within and around the human body we call it Bio Energy.

Energy flows through our bodies in much the same way as water flows through a hose. Physical and emotional trauma, some of which we don’t even realise we hold on to can disrupt the flow of energy the same way a kink can interrupt the flow of water. When this happens pain and disease often occur in the physical body. In a bio energy session the therapist works on clearing and balancing the client’s energy system. Bio energy therapy works on the surface first and goes deeper over time, like layers in an onion.

Bio energy therapy is administered with minimal physical contact and can be achieved without touch. Clients remain fully clothed with the exception of their shoes. During a session clients may feel warmth, maybe tingling sensation, they can sometimes feel cold as well. The majority of clients will feel completely relaxed and will go into what some clients have described as some sort of sleep. Bio energy healing goes to wherever it’s needed and works to heal the clients body and energy system.

Benefits of a Bio Energy session

Sleep well

Clear mind, improved concentration & focus

Increased self-confidence and creativity

It reduces stress, increases energy on a physical, mental and emotional level

It is effective in the elimination of migraines, anxiety, depression, back pain even persistent issues unresponsive to other treatments
